Up until that time, most everything I baked originated from a box. I always had a desire to learn new baking skills but never had the courage to try. But with a giant case of apples now staring me down, I no longer had an excuse. It was time to get my feet wet.
With a lot, of curiosity and patience, I baked my first apple pie with homemade crust from scratch. I surprised everyone whom I shared it with. They thought I was fibbing when I admitted it was my first attempt at baking from the ground up.
The responses included encouragement to share my pies with the public. After dozens, of pies, and several new recipes later I did exactly that. I obtained my cottage license over a year ago and started sharing my newly discovered passion with the public.
It brings me great joy bringing happiness to others via sweet tasty treats while pursuing one of my favorite hobbies.
